Reconcilation Branch Information
The Reconcilation Branch functions under the control of the Divisional Commissioner. In this branch, the Government of Maharashtra, Revenue and Forest Department, Government Decision No. S-5/69/259238-K/Accounts Unit dated 14.4.1977 on the establishment of the Divisional Commissioner’s Office. The following posts have been created.The nature of the work and distribution of work of the Internal Accounts Team has been decided under this circular. Government Circular No. VNP/07/2006/PR.No.49/PSC.1 Ministry, Mumbai dated 27.7.2006 has directed for surprise inspection (Audit of Expenditure) of the field offices of the Revenue Department. As per letter No. A.N.L.P.07/2006/PR.No.44/PAC-1 dated 19.7.2016, the Assistant Director (Reconcilation) has instructed to conduct Special Audit/Test Audit/Detailed Audit of the subordinate offices/branches as per the order of the Government/Divisional Commissioner, as per the requirement, action is being taken accordingly.

Expenditure reconciliation, Accountant General expenditure paragraph budget, grant allocation, Public Accounts Committee, Appropriation report, financial matters etc. and control over subordinate offices.

Pending paragraphs from the Accountant General Mumbai, pending detailed payments from the Revenue and Forest Department, Internal Audit Team’s balance. Approval of paragraphs above Rs. 200000/-, brief inspection of the Tehsil offices of the department and accordingly scrutinizing the compliance of the paragraphs and submitting them for approval, starred questions of the Legislative Assembly / Legislative Council, measures regarding financial discipline.

Reconciliation of expenditure received from districts and the Accounts Branch of the Divisional Commissioner’s Office, submission of appropriation accounts, quarterly, eighth and annual budgets to the government, distribution of grants under account heads 2053, 2045, 2029, 7610, 2235 Deposit-linked Insurance Scheme etc. and submission of demands as required from time to time, submission of necessary information in accordance with the meeting of the Public Accounts Committee, attendance, undoing of BDS in the department and resetting the password.

Demand and distribution of grants under account heads 2215 A 195 and 2215 A 201 under the water supply scheme, submission of revised estimates, budget estimates, programme estimates, utilization certificates and appropriation accounts under the relevant account heads to the government and establishment related work in the reconciliation branch, distribution of postage.
