Salient Features of the Branch
The Accounts Branch operates under the control of the Divisional Commissioner. Through this branch, the salaries and accounting work of all the officers/employees of the Divisional Commissioner’s office are monitored. The following officers/employees are working to carry out and control the above work.

Important Matters:
This office does not come into contact with the general public, so general matters are not handled by this branch. Therefore, such documents are not available in this branch. However, standing orders related to the functioning of this office have been preserved. Functions of the Accounts Branch:

To approve expenditure and purchases by exercising the financial authority of the Divisional Commissioner, Nashik Division, Nashik as the Head of the Department, as per the Government Decision Finance Department No. V.I.P./1000/Prakr-46/2001/Regulations, dated 11 July 2001.

To approve the allocation of grants to the Divisional Commissioner, Nashik Division, Nashik, of the funds made available by the Government for the construction of houses/motor cars/motor cycles etc. for officers and employees to the Divisional Commissioner’s Office and subordinate District Collector’s Offices as per the demand and as per the Government approved seniority list.
- To approve benefits under the State Government Group Insurance Scheme 1982.
- To approve the retirement proposals of officers and employees retiring from the Divisional Commissioner’s Office.

To approve the Provident Fund (Refundabale/non-refundable) amount to the officers/employees of the Divisional Commissioner’s Office.
- To approve the medical reimbursement proposals of officers and employees.

Government Decision Finance Department No. V.I.P.R./1000/P.R.K.R.-46/2001/Regulations, dated 11 July 2001 Financial Officer’s Rule Book Rules 1978 Part-1 Sub-sections 1 to 5, the financial powers vested in the Divisional Commissioner, Nashik Division, Nashik as the Head of the Department have been delegated by the Hon’ble Divisional Commissioner vide Order No. 1) ws-28/1/Lekha/139 dated 13/09/1993. 2) Lekha/ws-28/202/dated 26/12/1997

Accounts/section-6/Cash- 256/02/Dated 21/11/2002 4) To approve expenditure and purchase subject to terms and conditions by exercising the powers conferred vide Accounts/Room-6/Cash/191/2004Dated 19/01/2004.

To approve the 30 days earned leave of Class-3 and Class-4 employees of the Accounts Department as per the powers vested in him.
- To approve the salary increment of Class-3 and Class-4 employees of the Accounts Department.
- To perform duties as a Drawing and Disbursing Officer as per Mumbai Civil Service Rules 1959.

To check the accounts payabills from various branches of the Divisional Commissioner’s Office and submit them to the seniors for Approval.
To record opinions on accounting matters from various branches of the Divisional Commissioner’s Office and submit them to the superior.
