Objectives of the Divisional Commissioner’s Office:
- Monitoring Developmental Activities:
Ensures that development projects (infrastructure, health, education, etc.) are being executed properly and on schedule within the division.
Supervises the implementation of state schemes related to welfare, rural development, poverty alleviation, and public infrastructure.
- Revenue and Land Management:
Oversees revenue administration within the division, including land reforms, land records, and the collection of taxes (e.g., property tax, land revenue).
Takes decisions related to land disputes, revenue administration, and relief in case of natural disasters like floods, droughts, etc.
- Public Grievances and Dispute Resolution:
The Divisional Commissioner plays a key role in resolving public grievances related to government services, land issues, and other administrative matters.
Chairs grievance redressal meetings and listens to complaints from the public to take corrective actions.
- Supervision of Law and Order:

Responsible for overseeing various social welfare programs such as scholarships, pension schemes, health programs, and public distribution systems (PDS) within the division.
