About Nashik–Trimbakeshwar Authority

The Nashik-Trimbakeshwar Kumbh Mela Authority (NTKMA) is a dedicated governing body established by the Government of Maharashtra to plan, coordinate, and oversee the preparations for the Simhastha Kumbh Mela 2027 in Nashik and Trimbakeshwar.

NTKMA functions as the nodal agency responsible for ensuring smooth organisation of the Kumbh Mela, which is one of the largest religious gatherings in the world. Its mandate includes infrastructure development, sanitation and waste management, safety and security arrangements, transport and mobility planning, digital enablement, pilgrim facilitation, and coordination across multiple government departments.

The Authority works with local civic bodies, state and central government departments, NGOs, akhadas, and other stakeholders to deliver a safe, inclusive, and enriching experience for millions of pilgrims and visitors.
